Refund Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
Pledges made through FUMBR are direct payments to support a creator’s project, not purchases of a finished product. Because of this, all pledges are final and non-refundable, except as described below.
When a refund may be issued
- The pledge was made in error (e.g. duplicate charge).
- The pledge was unauthorized or fraudulent.
- A creator chooses, at their own discretion, to refund a specific supporter.
To request a refund, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] within [X] days of the pledge. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method through Stripe. FUMBR’s platform fee on a refunded pledge is also returned; Stripe’s own processing fees may not be recoverable depending on Stripe’s policies at the time.
Disputes and chargebacks
If a supporter files a chargeback with their bank instead of requesting a refund through us, the disputed amount (plus any dispute fee charged by Stripe) may be deducted from the creator’s balance.
